In addition to other catastrophic impacts on health, being homeless accelerates ageing. One recent study showed people in a London hostel with a mean age of 55.7 were as frail as 89-year-olds in the general population. Pathway’s work in the area to date includes contributions to research, with particular reference to the experience of frailty in hostel settings.
