The COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak has presented specific risks to people experiencing homelessness. People rough sleeping or living in temporary accommodation, many with long term conditions, are in a high-risk group, meaning that becoming infected with the virus could have severe consequences.

Pathway’s response to the outbreak involved collation of relevant resources and original research, as well as advocating for the practical concerns raised by specialist homeless clinicians and the homeless charity sector more broadly. We will continue to feed into thinking on the long-term management of COVID-19 for vulnerable groups, as the pandemic recovery continues.
