Paul is the project manager for the Pathway Partnership Programme, overseeing direct support and training to Pathway Teams, and developing the support package and resources provided to Teams through the Partnership Programme.
Paul has worked in various roles in the homelessness sector since 2006, moving into the health inclusion space in 2014, spending four years working as a housing liaison worker for the KHP Pathway Teams at SLaM, King’s College, and Guy’s & St Thomas’ hospitals. This followed a couple of years as an assessment and reconnection worker at the first No Second Night Out hub – an experience that first made Paul aware of the urgency faced by rough sleepers struggling with serious physical and mental health issues.
Paul joined Pathway after his experiences working for a Pathway Team convinced him that every hospital that needs one should have a one as they make a real difference at a critical period in people’s lives.
When Paul was 15 years old, he had a ‘Gorillas in the Mist’ moment when he was chased for at least 100 metres by a wild baboon. Paul still feels lucky to be alive.
