Initial feedback from delegates at the two day International Symposium is hugely positive. Our group of service user experts will be producing a fuller conference report in due course, but meanwhile colleagues are saying they felt inspired, moved, challenged and energised. The event attracted more delegates than last year. It was great to see homeless people rubbing shoulders with international Professors of Epidemiology and charity Chief Executives. One delegate admitted he didn’t get to bed in the hotel until 4.00 a.m. on Wednesday night, and despite this all the breakfast workshops at 8.30 a.m. on Thursday were well attended. If you attended the symposium, videos of all the plenary sessions and key workshop sessions, and copies of all the speakers’ slides are now available via the Policy Review TV web site – you will need the password printed on the back of your delegate pack to get in. Meanwhile in partnership with the Royal College of Physician, we will shortly be circulating a copy of the new Service Standards for Commissioners and Service Providers to medical directors and other senior figures across the country.
