Hannah has based her career on the diet of vulnerable people, advocating for the nutrition of people suffering hardship.
She registered as a dietitian in 2014 when she started her career in the NHS. In 2015, she founded FEAST With Us (FEAST) as a grassroots initiative with the view to bringing nutrition science to the forefront of the food charity sector. Since this time, she has worked for a number of London NHS trusts, and registered FEAST as a charity now serving a large population of people experiencing food insecurity across several London boroughs.
Currently, she clinically specialises in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health in the NHS, and is a committee member of the Learning Disabilities subgroup of the Mental Health specialist group in the British Dietetics Association. She is also conducting research in partnership with UCL on behalf of FEAST exploring the nutrition status of people experiencing homelessness residing in temporary accommodation.
Her experience and expertise led her to Pathway where she met Ghislaine Swinburn, another dietitian passionate about inclusion health. Together, they have set up the Nutrition Subgroup within the Faculty for Homeless and Inclusion Health to gather like minds and address the gaps in nutrition services for people experiencing homelessness.
