In this monthly masterclass for teams within our Pathway Partnership Programme, Dr Natalie Miller and Dr Dana Beale from Great Chapel Street Medical Centre will lead a session on the topic of Advocating for Better Clinical Outcomes for Homeless Patients.

The masterclass will explore why it is important to use advocacy skills and will give an overview of the different types of skill associated with good advocacy. The session will also provide some excellent practical hints and tips on how to deploy these skills with confidence to be the most effective we can be for our patients. Natalie and Dana will share some of the latest research on clinical advocacy, underpinning the ethos of ‘giving voice to values.’

While the Masterclass will talk about clinical advocacy, it will explore a range of advocacy techniques relevant to all roles within an inclusion health team.

Natalie and Dana are joint-lead GPs at Great Chapel Street Medical Centre, a specialist practice which provides holistic primary healthcare to people experiencing homelessness in Westminster.  Natalie also works as Clinical Lead for Homeless Health for NWL ICB working towards health equity for this population across North West London.
