Pathway is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Datafield.
Datafield provides a cloud based data processing and storage facility and have agreed to provide us with free access to their software for this year. Datafield products will be very helpful in saving us time with the boring parts of survey work; data entry.
Pathway has begun to develop a service-user research capacity, carrying out surveys and focus groups with homeless people and homeless health service users as well as with clinicians, key workers and other service providers.
Among other things this work has shown that people with lived experience of homelessness are able to achieve higher survey response rates than are normally achieved in this community.
If you would like Pathway’s support or advice on conducting health related research with homeless people please email info@pathway.org.uk
Our recent work includes:
A review of homeless people’s access and use of dental services
Waiting-room surveys of homeless patients using specialist primary care
Focus groups on access to NHS services by homeless people using a drop-in centre in South London
A survey of take-up of the flu vaccine among London’s hotel dwellers.
This collaboration with Datafield will enhance our capacity and ensure that the voice of homeless people remains at the heart of all we achieve.
