A Series of Papers to Inform the Next Decade of Healthcare
People experiencing homelessness face significantly worse health outcomes than those who are stably housed. This picture is mirrored for people in other inclusion health groups, who often face extreme inequalities in health care access, experience and outcomes.
To support the pursuit of meaningful change in tackling these inequalities through the work of the Department of Health and Social Care and the new NHS 10-year plan, Pathway commissioned six thought-provoking policy papers.
Authored by acknowledged experts in the inclusion health field, these papers offer a concise overview of the issues, offering practical solutions that align with the Government’s vision focusing on three transformative shifts: moving care from hospital to community, embracing digital innovation, and prioritising prevention over treatment.
The papers individually cover the following topics in the context of inclusion health:
- General Practice
- Secondary Care
- Mental Health
- Housing
- Health Data
A future paper will also look at Safeguarding.
The papers can be downloaded below. Additionally, if you would like to discuss any of the issues raised, please reach out to us at info.pathway.org.uk
